No matter what people tell you, there is no sure strategy to betting while playing blackjack. Blackjack is very simple game that pits you against the dealer ? who represents the house ? and the draw of the cards is the only strategy you have. Unfortunately with the advent of one online casinos, everyone is trying to tell you about blackjack strategies. Face it; the best strategy is playing smart.
Blackjack strategy systems may seem like a tempting offer, but they are nothing more than a way to take your money before you even get a chance to make a wager with it. Turn away from all of these offers because they are nothing more than a waste of time. The only way a blackjack player can develop a true strategy for playing the game is by making sure whatever method they use is dependent on the cards and the percentages they represent.
The most basic strategy behind blackjack besides playing smart is that you make your bets on what you are holding and what the dealer is showing. Unfortunately, it takes experience to learn when to raise and when to stand. It?s based on the principle that they more you play, the more card combinations you will see. Certain card combinations have a higher percentage than others and you simply need to reason out whether or not it is worth raising against the dealer.
Yes, card counting is another way and it is considered cheating in most casinos. But the basics of blackjack strategy also incorporate some card counting, especially when you consider the cards left in the ?shoe? or deck. In this case, a card counter could determine the possible composition of the rest of the cards and improve their chances. However, you need to be a card counter of exceptional skill in order to be able to use this method accurately. One slip up and you can lose a lot of money.
There is only one tried and true strategy for playing one blackjack. Play honestly. Play cautiously. And play with your head and not on a hunch. You know what you are holding and in most cases you can see one of the dealer?s cards. Take your time. If you are not comfortable raising the bet, don?t. Stand with what you have and see if the dealer will go out instead. It?s better to lose a little bit of money then a lot because you didn?t play smart.
